Africa - its people, places, and most pressing issues are our beat.
Across the continent and elsewhere around the world, working in hostile environments and covering the most inaccessible stories is our speciality. As well as Africa's numerous flashpoints, we have reported on conflicts in places as diverse as Afghanistan, Iraq, and Haiti.
Africa though remains our main focus, and we recognize that for too long now it has been depicted as little more than the bad news continent. In response, Frontier Africa TV is keen to engage in stories that celebrate contemporary life and the cultural richness of life from Algeria to South Africa, Sierra Leone to Somalia.
Our team has years of journalistic experience working for the world's leading broadcasting networks and news agencies including Reuters, the BBC and Getty Images. Frontier Africa TV reporters have made films for BBC's Newsnight and Panorama on the war in Angola, and the controversy surrounding Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. Amongst others they have reported and filmed for the BBC, ITN, Channel 4, The New York Times, The Sunday Times Magazine.
They have written acclaimed books on Africa and covered the continent's affairs for some of the world's leading newspapers. Some of their most recent film projects include a documentary on the life of bush pilots flying in the dangerous interior regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the grand tradition of Kenyan distance running.
